Assessment #3 Blog post.

Where do i start...

My Blog: From the start i set about making sure it looked somewhat different from what it originally looked like with the default template. I did this by playing around with the colors and layout and also by making a custom header in photoshop which didn't take me long. I also played around with the fonts and their colors for a bit. After i had finished customizing all of that i embedded a song from soundcloud.com just for kicks : )I have learnt that blogger is a very easy-to-use system, which is super customizable which is probably why so many people use it. (random fact: there are over 500,000 blog users)

Delicious: I wasnt sure what to do with this website considering it is pretty redundant when you can just bookmark your own websites on your toolbar without having to go to an external source to find your bookmarks. I spent very little time using this website because of that, however i did put up some interesting links anyway, i did learn however that delicious is a place where people can share interesting finds via links and the more bookmarks that they get, the more frequently they are listed in searches etc when people are looking for stuff similar to it.

Flikr: I was using photobucket at the start but flikr seems much easier and better set up, but i still tend to use photobucket more because it has all of my previous uploads on there, whereas flikr doesnt.. yet. I have learned how to upload images and tag them so that they are more easily found when people search for key words on flikr (same for delicious aswell).

I'm pretty bad.

Well it turns out i am rather good at wasting time, having wasted 70% of the term doing nothing. Now i have an animation to finish and a soundscape to do within 5 days, all thanks to me procrastinating so much. I'll be lucky if i pass my animation.

I've changed my idea for my animation about 3 times and have only just started really trying to do it.. not a good idea... if i can make it through to the next term i'll be starting everything early by weeks.

Hopefully this is the case : (

So far i've been wasting nearly all my precious time that i should be spending on my animation has been spent on procrastination. So today i decided that i would try and fix that by deleting over 130GB of games off my computer and getting my brother to change my password to steam without telling me what it has been changed to : )

Time to get back on track.

Assessment 2 Blog Post

This is a blog post about my website that i have made in Iweb and uploaded to the student webspace. Making the website was fun and pretty easy considering Iweb is nearly all drag and drop / change themes. I didn't want to just use a specific theme on my website and leave it there as the default chosen theme so i chose the white theme and made my own look but adding shapes.

My website has 4 pages;

Home: Just a basic about me, with an awesome rotoscoped image of me being creepy. This page has the counter for the website on it.

Portfolio: A crappy representation of my bad previous works. Nothing special. I made the images hyperlinks so they go to the flikr image when you click on them.

Viral Videos: A short blog about viral youtube videos, Was easy to add youtube videos because youtube provides an easy embed feature and you just copy paste the html.

Ultimate Luck: A small page with some very well compiled luck videos from youtube. 5:20 on the second video being an amazing event.

Asessment 1 Blog Post.

I have made a decent amount of Aesthetic changes to my blog which include a custom background and header, I created the background in photo-shop as a 600x1000px image and used a color gradient on it with a pattern overlay and tiled it horizontally, which i think looks SWELL and suits the color theme i created on the blog using font colors and also border colors. I also created the header in photo-shop for the blog just using text and some filters on the text to make it look nice.

I have added a few other things to my blog such as a Flikr photostream which displays a few thumbnails of images directly from my Flikr account, And also a few extra pages so the blog isn't as boring (Had a lot of fun making the perfect timing page) and also some music (not set to autoplay) at the top of the blog page.

I have 7 (8 Including this?) posts in total on my blog, i think that these 2 posts are probably the most interesting of them all so far:

I have 8 bookmarked webpages on Delicious, I like a bit of interesting physics / science which explains 2 of my bookmarks and the Perfect timing photos are usually pretty funny. The photoshop techniques webpage looked interesting so i bookmarked it for lols. My 3 favourite webpages are:

Major Progress.

I spent alot of time today working on my skeleton of my legs for my walk cycle and i think i made alot of progress on it, i think it looks allright so far.

Wooooo 19 today.

Yay its my 19th birthday, family is coming down to wagga this weekend :D

Had a pretty good birthday party at my block.. we all got horribly drunk (I ended up drinking ~3L of goon) and played some amusing drinking games (Including Kings) and I of course somehow ended up with the last king in the game with the biggest pot. Went over to another block near me and they were playing a game called "Slaps" which i thought was pretty fun.

It goes like this:
One person leads by saying "Whats the name of this game", everybody replies with "SLAPS!" The lead then says "WHY DO WE PLAY?" Everyone else says "TO GET F***** UP!"
And then the lead starts by slapping their left or right shoulder as they say the number 1 to start off. If they slapped their left, the person to the left of them then says 2 and chooses the direction of play by slapping their left or right shoulder and it continues like this till it reaches 10 and the person who gets to say 10 says "GET F***** UP" instead and points at a person in the circle who then sculls their drink. There's another rule in there about the number 7 but i dont know how to explain it.

After a few rounds of the game slaps i went back to my block and i cant really remember much of the night after that, i think i remember losing my shirt some time that night only to be told it was on the floor near me... fail.

In the morning i felt pretty shit (3l of goon lol) and then my family arrived at my block, that very same morning there were people doing nude runs around my block which surprised my sister who decided it was probably time to leave. I went to Monte Zuma's that night with my family and i had a massive Chicken Nachos which was awesome and yummy and i was like OM NOM NOM NOM.
